Detailed steps involved in the process

• Selection of potential names for your company: These should be as dissimilar as possible to each other to avoid rejection of names. This process takes about ten days.
• Armed with the company name certificate, we then go to the notary to draw up the company deeds (escritura). The minimum capital of 3.012 EUR may be deposited in a company account or alternatively you can invest physical assets such as office equipment, vehicles or workshop equipment to the same value by listing them and giving each of their individual values.
• A few days later, the escritura will be ready for signing, which will require your presence, unless you prefer to grant our accountant, Malcolm, power of attorney to sign on your behalf.
• With the escritura, the provisional CIF number can be requested from Hacienda (Spanish tax office).
• A 1% tax on the initial investment is payable to the Junta de Andalucia.
• When this tax has been paid, the escritura will be registered at the Registro Mercantil (company registry office) and can be collected after 15 days.
• With the registered deeds, we can obtain your definitive CIF number.
• We will then assist you to register the director(s) of the company as autónomo (self-employed) with the Social Security office and Hacienda.
